JAKARTA \u2014 Rismon Sianipar, a suspect in a case alleging forged\ncredentials of Indonesia\u2019s seventh President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), met\nwith Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka at the Vice Presidential\nPalace in Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026) morning.<\/p>\n
According to monitoring by Kompas.com, Rismon arrived at the Vice\nPresidential Palace complex at approximately 09:57 Western Indonesian\nTime. Dressed in a dark blue shirt and trousers, Rismon walked directly\ninto the Vice President\u2019s Office. Upon arrival, Rismon declined to\ncomment extensively on the purpose of his visit. The meeting between\nGibran and Rismon was held behind closed doors.<\/p>\n
Rismon is one of several suspects in the case alleging forged\ncredentials involving Jokowi. Following an extended investigation, the\nMetro Jaya Regional Police have designated eight individuals in total as\nsuspects.<\/p>\n
Rismon had previously apologised to Jokowi and his family regarding\nhis findings. \u201cAs a researcher, I respectfully apologise to Mr Jokowi\u2019s\nfamily concerning the new findings that I announced,\u201d Rismon stated on\nThursday (12 March 2026), as reported by the Balige Academy YouTube\nchannel. Rismon also acknowledged that there were errors in his previous\nresearch published in the book Jokowi\u2019s White Paper.<\/p>\n
Vice President Gibran responded positively to Rismon\u2019s apology in\nwriting. \u201cRamadan is an excellent month for mutual forgiveness and\nrebuilding the bonds of brotherhood,\u201d Gibran said in his statement on\nThursday (12 March 2026).<\/p>\n
