RI's first air cargo service launched<\/p>\n

Courier company RPX Group launched on Tuesday its airline
\ncargo service, called RPX Airlines, which is the first scheduled
\ncargo airline service in the country.<\/p>\n
Using Boeing 737-200 aircraft with capacities of 15 tons, RPX
\nAirlines will fly between three major Indonesian
\nexporting\/importing and manufacturing cities, Jakarta,
\nBalikpapan, Surabaya, and Singapore, five days a week between
\nWednesday and Tuesday of the following week.<\/p>\n
The service will depart from Jakarta for Singapore in the
\nmorning and return to Jakarta before midday to continue on to
\nBalikpapan, Surabaya and Singapore and back again to Jakarta late
\nin the evening.<\/p>\n
The inaugural flight will take place on Oct. 17, Harsha E.
\nJoesoef, the company's CEO, said.<\/p>\n
He said the company planned to expand the service to take in
\nother cities, including Batam, Denpasar, Manado, Medan and Ujung
\nPandang.<\/p>\n
\"Our plan for the future is to expand the fleet by up to eight
\naircraft within the next five years,\" Harsha said.<\/p>\n
According to Harsha, RPX Airlines is supported by two groups
\nof professional and trained experts: one group manages flight
\noperations and the other group manages the cargo aspects of the
\nbusiness, which includes representatives and marketing offices in
\nBalikpapan, Jakarta, Singapore and Surabaya.<\/p>\n
The RPX Group is a group of companies owned fully by
\nIndonesian investors and managed by Indonesian professionals and
\ntechnical advisors. The company employs more than 800 people and
\noperates a Boeing 737 aircraft and more than 120 vehicles.<\/p>",
