Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s exports in 2007 grew by 13.09 percent to US$113.99 billion from a year earlier, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said Friday.<\/p>\n
Non-oil\/non-gas exports grew by 15.51 percent to US$91.94 billion, outstripping the government-set export growth target of 14.5 percent.<\/p>\n
Fat and animal\/vegetable oils dominated non-oil\/non-gas exports with a value of US$10.231 billion, followed by machineries\/electrical appliances (US$7.436 billion), mineral fuel (US$7.065 billion) and rubber and rubber-related products (US$6.287 billion).<\/p>\n
The export of agricultural, industrial and mining products last year rose 17.01 percent, 16.76 percent and 7.81 percent respectively.<\/p>\n
In December 2007 alone, exports rose by 10.71 percent to US$10.86 billion from a month earlier. But the December 2007 exports increased by 13.05 percent compared to the same period in 2006.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, non-oil\/non-gas exports in December 2007 increased by 8.06 percent to US$8.36 billion from the month before.<\/p>\n
The United States was the biggest market for Indonesia`s non-oil\/non-gas exports in December 2007 with a value of US$1.03 billion, followed by Japan (US$858 million) and Singapore (US$652 million).<\/p>\n
