        "content": "<p>Riots' victims<\/p>\n<p>The May riots have left many victims, including rape victims.<br>\nAlthough thorough investigation into the riots is being conducted<br>\nby the authorities, several organizations and institutions have<br>\nstarted working to help these victims.<\/p>\n<p>But to my surprise, this help and effort is not coming from<br>\nthe government. It is non-governmental humanitarian institutions<br>\nand women's organizations that have been making some efforts to<br>\naddress the issue. I haven't heard of any actions taken by the<br>\nstate minister of women's affairs to investigate the victimized<br>\nwomen. The minister did not even condemn the sexual violations.<\/p>\n<p>The existence of a state minister of women's affairs in<br>\nIndonesia is unique. We may not find such a ministry in other<br>\ncountries. This shows that the government has great concern in<br>\nsolving women's problems.
