        "content": "<p>Rio Tinto, UNPAD sign deal<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Rio Tinto Foundation, established by mining<br>\ncompany PT Rio Tinto Indonesia, has signed a cooperation<br>\nagreement with Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) of Bandung, West<br>\nJava, to promote geological studies.<\/p>\n<p>Rio Tinto Indonesia is a unit of Anglo-Australian giant mining<br>\ncompany Rio Tinto.<\/p>\n<p>The company said in a statement the cooperation memorandum was<br>\nsigned on Saturday by Rio Tinto Foundation chairman Noke Kiroyan<br>\nand the dean of UNPAD&apos;s math and science school, Supriyatna, at<br>\nthe university campus.<\/p>\n<p>Noke said the foundation will help finance geological study<br>\nand research at the university, including dissertation<br>\npreparations for three doctoral candidates.<\/p>\n<p>He did not reveal the fund amount.
