The centre, named Geopark Rinjani, also houses various\ncollections of rocks from ancient volcanic lava to a diverse range of\nflora.<\/p>\n<p>West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal explained that\nGeopark Rinjani functions as a museum and information hub related to\nMount Rinjani. According to him, tourists who wish to learn about Mount\nRinjani can visit the information centre located in the Sembalun area,\nEast Lombok.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey (tourists) can learn about Geopark Rinjani. It\u2019s like a\nsemi-museum,\u201d said Iqbal on Saturday night (2\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Iqbal emphasised that he rejects investors intending to build\nluxurious facilities in the Mount Rinjani area. He views Mount Rinjani\nas a spiritual identity for the NTB people that must be protected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMount Rinjani belongs to all of Lombok\u2019s people, even all of\nhumanity. This is our heart, our spirit, our soul. Even the slightest\ndamage to this mountain will have widespread impacts,\u201d added Iqbal.<\/p>\n<p>The Manager of Research and Development at Geopark Rinjani,\nMeliawati, explained that this facility is open to the public and\ntourists. Meliawati hopes that the existence of Geopark Rinjani can\nfacilitate tourists in accessing information on geology.<\/p>\n<p>Geopark Rinjani stores various information in video format,\ninformational boards, to storybooks to make it easier for children to\nunderstand. \u201cSo, by coming here, they take home more knowledge,\u201d said\nMeliawati.<\/p>",
