PT Angkasa Pura Support (APS) has yet to fulfil the rights of six\nformer employees who were dismissed unilaterally several years ago. PT\nAPS is considered to have violated an agreement reached between Bali\u2019s\nRegional Representative Council (DPRD), Bali Provincial Government\n(Pemprov), Badung Regency Government (Pemkab), and labour unions.<\/p>\n
I Nyoman Suwirta, Chair of Commission IV of Bali\u2019s DPRD, confirmed\nthat the dispute between the company and former PT APS workers had not\nreached a resolution following mediation conducted last year. He pledged\nto summon PT APS management again promptly to resolve the matter.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are attempting to call the company side, they will attend in the\nsecond week of April, since this meeting marks exactly one year.\nPreviously they said after Eid,\u201d said Suwirta on Thursday (12 March\n2026).<\/p>\n
Suwirta stated that Bali\u2019s DPRD had issued a recommendation to the\ncompany to fulfil the rights of workers dismissed unilaterally. He noted\nthat mediation had been conducted by Badung Regency\u2019s Labour and\nIndustrial Services.<\/p>\n
\u201cBadung Labour Services issued a kind of written appeal to both\nparties, one of which was to conduct mediation again,\u201d said Suwirta.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the company was also asked to continue providing wages\npending any final decision. Subsequently, workers were requested to\nsubmit an apology to the company.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is actually what troubles us when workers want to return, but\nduring mediation they were asked to apologise to the company,\u201d said the\nformer Klungkung Regent.<\/p>\n
Suwirta believed the issues caused by the workers were relatively\nminor and did not warrant dismissal. Nevertheless, Commission IV of\nBali\u2019s DPRD also advised the former employees to seek alternative\nemployment if possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese individuals are elderly. If other work options are available,\nwe recommend seeking other employment,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
Ida I Dewa Made Rai Budi Darsana, Secretary of FSPM Bali, regretted\nthat PT APS did not respect the recommendations from the legislature. He\nquestioned the company\u2019s seriousness in addressing the dispute.<\/p>\n
