        "content": "<p>Rights commission to mediate dispute<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG, Central Java: The National Commission on Human<br>\nRights has offered to mediate in the ongoing land dispute between<br>\nthe provincial government and the residents of Kedungombo, a<br>\ncommission member says.<\/p>\n<p>Muladi, who is also rector of Diponegoro University, said over<br>\nthe weekend that he would suggest that the two opposing sides<br>\nresolve the dispute outside the courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>\"Although the Kedungombo residents can file another lawsuit,<br>\nthey must remember that no court's decision will be able to<br>\nsatisfy all parties,\" he told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The Kedungombo residents have been battling the government in<br>\ncourt for higher compensation for property they were forced to<br>\nsurrender for a reservoir project.
