RK only gave a brief statement after the hearing, asking for prayers\nthat the proceedings would go smoothly before getting into his private\ncar.<\/p>\n
RK\u2019s lawyer, Wenda Aluwi, stated that the adoption case was filed\nbecause the custody process had not yet been finalised. He noted that RK\nhad also recently divorced Atalia Praratya.<\/p>\n
\u2018At this time, we are assisting him to continue the application\nprocess for the adoption of Arka. Because the procedures that have been\nundertaken so far have not yet reached a final stage,\u2019 Wenda said at the\nBandung Religious Court on Wednesday (8\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u2018So now, after going through the administrative process and\nfulfilling all the provisions in the law, as we all know, following the\ndivorce, Arka was handed over to Mr RK by Mrs Atalia,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
Wenda explained that the adoption petition was filed after RK became\na single parent. The court proceedings, he said, have been running\nsmoothly.<\/p>\n
\u2018Thus, we had to start the process as a single parent, a\nsingle-parent adoption. So it is being carried out by Mr Ridwan Kamil\nhimself,\u2019 he stated.<\/p>\n
Wenda also disclosed the agenda for the next hearing. Barring any\nobstacles, the verdict hearing for the case will be held next week.<\/p>\n
