The Riau Provincial Government (Pemprov Riau) has ensured that the\nEid al-Fitr prayer for 1447 Hijriah is prepared thoroughly, covering\nlocations, implementing personnel, and security measures.<\/p>\n
This was conveyed by Asisten I of the Riau Provincial Secretariat,\nZulkifli Syukur, as a demonstration of the government\u2019s readiness to\nprovide the best services to the community.<\/p>\n
He stated that the Eid prayer is scheduled for Saturday (21\/3) at\n07.30 WIB. This determination is based on the results of the isbat\nsession held by the Republic of Indonesia\u2019s Ministry of Religious\nAffairs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe results of the isbat session from the Ministry of Religious\nAffairs RI have agreed that 1 Syawal falls on this coming Saturday.\nThen, we held a meeting on Monday (16\/3), with the Bureau of Public\nWelfare and related agencies, and we have prepared three locations for\nthe Eid prayer provided by Pemprov Riau,\u201d he said on Friday (20\/3).<\/p>\n
He explained that from the meeting results, three main locations for\nthe Eid prayer in Pekanbaru were determined. These three locations were\nselected to accommodate thousands of congregations expected to fill the\nworship places during the holiday. The first location is Masjid Raya An\nNur of Riau Province.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first is at Masjid Raya An Nur. The imam will be Dr H Zul\nIkromi, and the khatib will be Dr H Zulkarnain Umar,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n
He explained that Pemprov Riau is also preparing the second location\nat the grounds of the Governor\u2019s Office. This place serves as an\nalternative for the community in the city centre to more easily access\nthe worship location.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen, we are also preparing the implementation at the grounds of the\nRiau Governor\u2019s Office. The imam will be Ustadz H Amin Yono Al Hafiz,\nand the khatib will be the Head of the Riau Ministry of Religious\nAffairs Regional Office, Dr H Muliardi,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Next, Masjid Raya Nurul Wathan of Riau Province, which is prepared to\naccommodate a large number of congregations from various areas. This\nmosque\u2019s location is in Rumbai.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor Masjid Raya Nurul Wathan, the imam will be Dr Hanafi, and the\nkhatib will be Ustadz Alnof Dinar. So those are the three places already\nprovided by Pemprov Riau,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
To support the smooth implementation of the Eid prayer, Pemprov Riau\nhas coordinated with Pekanbaru Police Resort regarding security and\ntraffic management. Parking arrangements to vehicle flow will be\ntightened to avoid congestion around the locations.<\/p>\n
\u201cOrderly parking and security have been coordinated with Pekanbaru\nPolice Resort. Thus, this can support the comfort of the community in\nperforming worship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also urged the community to arrive early before the Eid prayer\nbegins. Thus, congregations can obtain comfortable spots while avoiding\ncrowds.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, let all the community enliven the available places.
