Police revealed that the attack was motivated by the\nperpetrator\u2019s feelings of revenge and resentment.<\/p>\n
The Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Commissioner Zahwani\nPandra Arsyad, stated that the perpetrator had intended to attack the\nvictim. The perpetrator was found to be carrying a machete and a sword\nduring the attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are still investigating the motive further. It is clear that the\nperpetrator had the intention to commit the assault, with the background\nof feelings of revenge and resentment,\u201d said Pandra in Pekanbaru,\nThursday (February 26, 2026).<\/p>\n
Pandra explained that the incident occurred around 08:30 WIB on the\n2nd floor of the Faculty of Sharia Law. At that time, the victim was\npreparing to attend her thesis session.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe perpetrator, R, had intentionally brought a machete and a sword.\nHe immediately approached the victim and caused injuries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
