RI woman commits suicide-murder<\/p>\n
MALAYSIA: An Indonesian woman stabbed her two-year-old
\ndaughter before killing herself, apparently because she was
\ndistraught that her Indian husband had not returned to Malaysia
\nfrom his trip back home, reports said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Reni Wahabi, 32, who had just given birth to a baby girl, had
\nallegedly originally fed her toddler child insecticide before
\nconsuming the poison herself at a friend's home in the southern
\nSeremban state.<\/p>\n
However, she was believed to have stabbed her child to death
\nafter seeing the young girl suffering in pain from the effects of
\nthe poison, said Seremban acting police chief Mohamad Taib Latif.<\/p>\n
\"After the front door was broken down, we saw Reni and her
\ntwo-year old child unconscious with foam coming out of their
\nmouths, and their bodies were all bloated,\" an eye-witness told
\nthe Malay-language Berita Harian daily.<\/p>\n
Neighbors found the four-day-old infant nearby, unharmed.<\/p>\n
Reni's husband, an Indian national, was believed to have
\npromised to return to Malaysia after he left for India in March
\nfollowing the expiry of his working permit. -- DPA<\/p>",
