RI, UNPKF approve border pact<\/p>\n
ATAMBUA, East Nusa Tenggara: The Indonesian military and the
\nUN Peace Keeping Forces (UNKPF) in East Timor signed an agreement
\non the tactical coordination line (TCL) here Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The agreement was reached by both parties during their routine
\nmeeting at the district military headquarters in Belu.<\/p>\n
Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) task force for East
\nTimor-Indonesia border Lt. Col. Djoko Subandrio said, after the
\nmeeting, the TCL agreement would serve as a guide for both
\nparties to maintain security along the border of the Indonesian
\ndistrict of Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) and East Timor's enclave of
\nOeccuse.<\/p>\n
He said the agreement followed a joint investigation,
\nconducted by the Indonesian military and Jordanian battalion,
\ninto the border area of East Nusa Tenggara and Oeccuse.<\/p>\n
The investigation was conducted following a land dispute
\nbetween people in the Indonesian village of Manusasi and the
\nOeccuse village of Bana. -- Antara<\/p>",
