RI students studying in Holland<\/p>\n
Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro is to
\nopen on May 1, 1997, a seminar titled Quality, Accreditation and
\nDiversity in Higher Education in The Netherlands and Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The seminar will signal the formal start of the Netherlands
\nEducation Center in Indonesia and the opening of its
\nrepresentative office in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The seminar also signals the opening day of Education and
\nTraining Expo '97 at the Jakarta Convention Center.<\/p>\n
During the expo, the education center, in close cooperation
\nwith its members, will provide information at the Dutch Pavilion
\nabout the study opportunities and courses available in the
\nNetherlands to potential Indonesian students.<\/p>\n
Embassy staff will be on hand to explain immigration
\nprocedures.<\/p>\n
No other continental European country offers such a wide
\nchoice of English-taught higher-education programs, with courses
\n(over 350) ranging from Airline Pilot Training to an MBA in
\nInformation Technology and Management.<\/p>\n
The seminar will include distinguished speakers from Indonesia
\nand the Netherlands, who will clarify the quality control methods
\nand practices of the systems used in the two countries and
\ndemonstrate the importance attached to a well-functioning model
\nfor quality control and accreditation of courses and
\ninstitutions.<\/p>\n
The Netherlands Education Center will welcome all interested
\nparties to the seminar, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

\nDutch Pavilion, which will be open for the public from May 1 to
