RI sends juniors to World C'ships<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Ten Indonesian junior golfers, including one
\ngirl, will compete in the World Golf Junior Championships on four
\ngolf courses in San Diego, California, from July 18 to July 21.<\/p>\n
The 10 golfers are Immanuel Lambok Ambarita and Zulharmen
\nYosis Tabusala in the 13 to 14-year-old division, Tamba Harun
\nAmbarita and Charles Rizky Adi Kristian in the 11 to 12-year-old
\ngroup, Zebadiah Alexander Solomon, Putra Abhinawa Sahari, Andy
\nChristiawan Sjaichudin and Williamn Sjaichudin in the 9 to 10-
\nyear-old class, Juandra Putera Hendarwo in the 6 to 8-year-old
\ndivision and Cicilla Chudivan in the girls 11 to 12-year-old
\ngroup.<\/p>\n
Team manager Charles Louis Pellupessy and the Indonesian Golf
\nAssociation (PGI) Jakarta chapter official in charge of junior
\ngolf development, Budhi Santoso, told Antara on Saturday that the
\naim was to earn positions in the world rankings.<\/p>\n
\"If they can reach the top 20 in a major tournament which has
\n800 golfers from 50 countries competing, then they have made a
\ngreat achievement,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Pellupessy said Indonesia would rely on Charles and Tamba and
\nalso Zebadiah. In the girls event, Indonesia is sending only one
\ngolfer as the ongoing results is far beyond other countries.<\/p>\n
\"Based on my experience, a girl golfer has lost her peak when
\nshe is at the age of 14,\" he said, adding that the participants
