RI offers energy training<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia offered yesterday energy training
\nfacilities, including hydro stations, to the delegations
\nattending the Sectoral Review Meeting of the Group of 77, a
\nsenior official said.<\/p>\n
\"We have expertise in hydro power stations and training
\ncenters on energy,\" the secretary-general of the Ministry of
\nMines and Energy, Umar Said, told reporters after the opening
\nceremony of the meeting attended by senior officials from 23
\ndeveloping countries.<\/p>\n
He said that funds for training programs would be discussed at
\nthe three-day meeting.<\/p>\n

\nsaid that funding for manpower training will be supported by the
\nEuropean Community.<\/p>\n
He said that Indonesia offered its training centers, including
\nthe Oil and Gas Training Center at Cepu in Central Java and PLN's
\n12 training centers, to the group.<\/p>\n
\"In the future we will offer to other developing countries our
\nexpertise in the construction of power stations,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Zuhal said that the meeting will also discuss the
\nimplementation of the Caracas Program of Actions on Energy, joint
\nresearch on new and renewable sources of energy, the creation of
\nmulti-national enterprises, and cooperation in manpower training.
