        "content": "<p>RI, neighbors to fight illegal fishing<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Indonesia, Australia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea<br>\nhave agreed to work together to combat illegal fishing in the<br>\nwaters of Arafuru and Timor sea, a cabinet minister said here<br>\nFriday.<\/p>\n<p>Data and information exchanges among fishery experts would be<br>\npart of the cooperation, maritime and fishery minister Rokhmin<br>\nDahuri said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to reporters after opening the Arafuru and Timor<br>\nSea's Experts Forum (ATSEF) secretariat here, he said the two<br>\nseas were widely known as the world's most potential fishing<br>\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>The seas had high carbon and nutrient supplies from rivers and<br>\nmangroves, he said, adding illegal fishing by foreign trawlers<br>\nremained high in the Indonesian waters.<\/p>\n<p>The ATSEF was founded in 2002 as part of the implementation of<br>\nthe International Law in Sea's article 123 on countries'<br>\ncooperation in research, benefiting from, and preserving<br>\nmaritime potentials. -- Antara<\/p>",
