        "content": "<p>RI meets with Japanese economic advisors<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: A Japanese team of experts is holding talks with<br>\ngovernment officials to help Indonesia reform its economy,<br>\naccording to the Japanese embassy.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy said in a statement that the meeting -- the first<br>\nto be held by the Japanese Assistant Team on Economic Policy for<br>\nIndonesia and the Indonesian government -- started on Monday and<br>\nis expected to last through Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese team includes academics, as well as officials<br>\nfrom the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance,<br>\nthe Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Japan International<br>\nCooperation Agency (JICA).<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government team includes Coordinating Minister<br>\nof the Economy Dorodjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti, and related ministers.<\/p>\n<p>Both parties are talking about six issues: macro-economic<br>\npolicy; reform in the banking sector; private investment<br>\nenhancement; the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises;<br>\ndecentralization, and democratization. -- JP<\/p>",
