        "content": "<p>RI maid faces stoning<\/p>\n<p>DUBAI (AFP): An Islamic tribunal in the United Arab Emirates<br>\nhas ordered a pregnant Indonesian maid to be stoned to death for<br>\nadultery, a newspaper reported on  Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The same court in the Indian Ocean emirate of Fujairah<br>\nacquitted her Muslim Indian lover in absentia, Al-Khaleej daily<br>\nsaid. The man has reportedly fled the country.<\/p>\n<p>But Karteen Karikender, 35,  received the maximum sentence<br>\nfrom the Shariah court on Sunday. She was arrested after the<br>\npolice were informed she was pregnant out of wedlock.<\/p>\n<p>In Abu Dhabi, the Indonesian embassy said it had not been<br>\ninformed of the case. \"If the verdict is not final, we are going<br>\nto appeal and hire legal aid to assist her in the court,\" a<br>\nspokesman said.<\/p>",
