RI, India sign MOU for consultation<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Indonesia and India have signed a Memorandum of
\nUnderstanding (MOU) on the Establishment of a Joint Consultative
\nForum for Bilateral Consultation.<\/p>\n
Indonesia's Director General for Political Affairs Nugroho
\nWisnumurti and Ambassador of India Sudhir Tukaram Devare
\nrepresented their respective countries in Tuesday's signing
\nceremony, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affair.<\/p>\n
Wisnumurti said he was optimistic the establishment of the
\nforum would be beneficial and contribute to the maintenance of
\npeace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n
Devare said that the memorandum would facilitate even closer
\nand more productive ties between both countries.<\/p>\n
On the basis of the memorandum, the two nations will meet
\nperiodically to discuss bilateral matters as well as
\ninternational issues of common interest. (09)<\/p>",
