        "content": "<p>RI in world debate contest<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Five Indonesians will take part in the annual World<br>\nSchools Debating Championship, which begins in Singapore on<br>\nWednesday, according to the Ministry of National Education.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the second time that Indonesia is sending a<br>\ndelegation to the event. In its debut last year, the Indonesian<br>\nteam returned with the \"Best New Team\" award.<\/p>\n<p>The five participants, winners of the national English<br>\ndebating championship for high school students held in Jakarta in<br>\nJuly, are: Ina Damayanti (Taruna Nusantara, Magelang), Karina<br>\nSigar (Pelita Harapan, Banten), Minerva Annuri Soedjatmiko (SMUN3<br>\nBandung), Fathir Fajar Sidiq (Dwi Warna, Bogor) and Jeni Wardin<br>\n(SMUN2 Bengkulu).<\/p>\n<p>Besides going for the main trophy, competing against teams<br>\nfrom English-speaking countries like the United States, Canada,<br>\nEngland, Ireland and last year's winner Australia, the Indonesian<br>\nteam will also compete for the best award for non-English<br>\nspeaking countries, which last year went to Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The competition ends on Feb. 2. -- JP<\/p>",
