RI hackers vent anger against KL<\/p>\n
INDONESIA: A territorial dispute between Indonesia and Malaysia
\nmoved into cyberspace on Wednesday as Indonesian hackers launched
\nattacks on Malaysian websites.<\/p>\n
Government sites were the main targets of the campaign which
\ncame on top of three days of street protests against Malaysia's
\ngranting of an oil concession off Kalimantan island in an area
\nclaimed by both countries.<\/p>\n
In one attack on a website belonging to the office of the
\nSultan of Perak, Malaysia's second-largest state, visitors were
\ngreeted by the word "Indonesia" on a red-and-white background --
\nthe colors of the national flag.<\/p>\n
Scrolling text also carried the sentences: "Indonesia is
\nunited" and "do not disturb my land".<\/p>\n
The Malaysian public works department's website was also
\ndefaced, but was restored later on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Malaysia and Indonesia have overlapping border claims in the
\nSea of Sulawesi. Since the oil concession was granted last month,
\nwarships and fighter planes have been mobilized with both sides
\naccusing the other of incursions.<\/p>\n
The foreign ministers of the two countries are scheduled to
\nmeet over the dispute here later on Wednesday. -- AFP<\/p>",
