RI gets satellite loan<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Export Import Bank of the United States and
\nBank Ekspor Impor Indonesia have signed an agreement on a loan of
\nUS$125 million for the financing of the purchase of two Hughes
\nHS-601 telecommunications satellites and related equipment.<\/p>\n
In a statement made available yesterday, Bankers Trust Company
\nof the United States, which arranged the loan financing,
\nannounced that the two satellites of the Palapa C series will be
\noperated by PT Satelit Indonesia (Satelindo).<\/p>\n
The agreement was signed by director Maria Luisa M. Haley of
\nthe U.S. Export Import Bank and president Sahaluddin N. Kaoy of
\nBank Ekspor Impor Indonesia, in Jakarta in the middle of this
