RI fighters trained in Korea<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian tae kwon doins, being groomed for the
\nKuala Lumpur Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, are undergoing an
\noverseas stint in South Korea to improve their technical skills.<\/p>\n
\"The 16 fighters, who left on Monday, will compete in the June
\n27 to June 30 Korean Open in Chanchoen which will also be
\nparticipated in by other countries' fighters,\" Indonesian Tae
\nKwon Do Association (TI) secretary-general Adrian Lumowa said
\nover the weekend.<\/p>\n
\"Countries such as SEA Games host Malaysia and Vietnam will
\nalso compete in the event. They have been preparing their tae
\nkwon doins in Korea also.<\/p>\n
\"Apart from the Korea Open, the national fighters will also
\ncompete in the tae kwon do festival in Chungchon from July 2 to
\nJuly 7. The festival will feature all aspects of tae kwon do.\"<\/p>\n
TI announced eight tae kwon doins and four substitutes in each
\nmen's and women's divisions for the Sept. 8 to Sept. 17 Games. In
\ncontrast to the core team members, the substitutes are being
\ntrained at Ragunan Sports School, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Adrian said TI would evaluate the athletes in July after
