        "content": "<p>RI eludes U.S. dumping charge<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The United States Embassy in Jakarta announced<br>\non Wednesday that the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC)<br>\nhas rejected a proposal to impose antidumping duties on imports<br>\nof expandable polystyrene resins from Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>It said in a statement that the commissioners determined that<br>\nthe evidence of injury to U.S. industries did not suffice to<br>\nallow investigations to continue.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the USITC and Commerce Department of the United<br>\nStates will close investigations and no antidumping duties will<br>\nbe imposed, the embassy said.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. imports of polystyrene beads from Indonesia amounted to<br>\n$3.6 million in 1999, or about 1.1 percent of the U.S. market.<br>\n(tnt)<\/p>",
