        "content": "<p>RI-Australian insurer<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Ministry of Finance has approved the<br>\nestablishment of an Australian-Indonesian joint insurance venture<br>\ncalled PT Asuransi QBE Pool Indonesia, The Australian embassy<br>\nsaid here yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>QBE Pool is 70 percent owned by QBE Insurance, one of<br>\nAustralia's largest insurance groups, and 30 percent by<br>\npublicly listed PT Pool Asuransi Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy said that the joint venture, with a paid up<br>\ncapital of Rp 15 billion (about US$68 million), will concentrate<br>\non meeting the insurance needs of small and medium size<br>\nIndonesian companies, private individuals and Australian<br>\ncompanies operating in or trading with Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>QBE Pool's head office will be located in Muara Karang, North<br>\nJakarta, and the company will be opening branches in other major<br>\nIndonesian cities as soon as it is permitted under the local<br>\ninsurance regulations.
