        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno said the\namendment to Regional Regulation (Perda) No.\u00a01 of 2024 on Regional Taxes\nand Levies aims to strengthen legal certainty, fairness, and tax\ngovernance that is transparent, accountable, and adaptive in the\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe views of all factions are an important part of refining the\nsubstance of the regulation so that it can address the needs of\nresidents and the pace of development in Jakarta,\u201d Rano said in response\nto the general remarks of DPRD factions during the plenary session of\nthe Jakarta DPRD at the Jakarta DPRD building on Tuesday (14\/7).<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed appreciation to all DPRD factions for the various\ninputs conveyed during deliberations on the draft regional regulation\n(Raperda).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome the suggestions and opinions submitted by all factions on\nthis draft regulation,\u201d Rano said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, these inputs are an important part of perfecting\nthe regulation in order to realise better governance of regional taxes\nand levies.<\/p>\n<p>Second is the adjustment of provisions on Specific Goods and Services\nTax (PBJT) on electricity. Third is the expansion of exemptions from the\nAdvertising Tax object. Fourth is the expansion of exemptions from\ncleanliness service levies for state educational institutions. Fifth is\nthe adjustment of the details of regional levy objects and tariffs in\nline with evolving needs.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Rano said that to increase locally generated revenue\n(PAD), the Jakarta Provincial Government will draw up a 2026-2030\nRegional Revenue Reform roadmap covering strategies to strengthen fiscal\ncapacity, tax intensification and extensification, service\ndigitalisation, data integration, improved taxpayer compliance, and\nbetter quality public services.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that in the levies sector, the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment has also ensured there will be no increase in Building\nApproval (PBG) levy tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition, we welcome the DPRD\u2019s support for the planned\nimplementation of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) as part of\nelectronically based traffic control. As for the adjustment of health\nservice levy tariffs, this will continue to take into account the\npublic\u2019s means without diminishing the quality or sustainability of\nhealth services,\u201d Rano said.<\/p>",
