        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has emphasised the\nimportance of examining Uhud Tour boss Khalid Basalamah. Through this\nexamination, the KPK aims to unravel the role of the Forum Silaturahmi\nAsosiasi Travel Haji dan Umrah (SATHU) in the additional Hajj quota\ncase.<\/p>\n<p>Khalid completed his examination as a witness in the 2023-2024\nadditional Hajj quota case at the Ministry of Religious Affairs on\nThursday (23\/4). Khalid is known as the General Chairman of the Asosiasi\nMutiara Haji, which is a member of the SATHU Forum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this examination, investigators also delved into matters related\nto the SATHU Forum,\u201d said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on\nFriday (24\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The KPK has identified the involvement of parties from the SATHU\nForum in meddling with the determination of the additional Hajj\nquota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we look back at the construction of the case, parties from the\nSATHU Forum or these association groups are suspected of also taking\ninitiatives related to the process of arranging the distribution of Hajj\nquotas,\u201d Budi stated.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, investigators pressed Khalid on the management of the\nadditional Hajj quota after the distribution of regular and special\nchannels, as well as its distribution, which is said to not comply with\nprevailing regulations.<\/p>\n<p>In yesterday\u2019s examination, the KPK also gathered statements from\nDirector of PT Chairul Umam Addauli, Fahrizal Dahlan; Director of PT\nNadwa Mulia Utama, Zulhendri; and Director of PT Sriwijaya Mega Wisata,\nSalwaty. The three were examined at the BPKP North Sumatra. Meanwhile,\nDirector of PT Kafilah Maghfirah Wisata, Firman M Nur, was examined at\nthe KPK alongside Khalid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, how the arrangement of distribution or its distribution was\ncarried out. That is for the examination of witnesses from the\nassociation,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n<p>It is recorded that Khalid Basalamah was previously examined by the\nKPK in June and September 2025. Khalid denied involvement in the Hajj\nquota case.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, the KPK has already named Yaqut as a suspect along with\nformer Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs Isfan Abidal\nAziz (IAA) alias Gus Alex. Yaqut is charged with violating Article 2\nparagraph (1) and or Article 3 of Law No.\u00a031 of 1999 jo. Article 18 of\nLaw No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as\namended by Law No.\u00a020 of 2001 on Amendments to Law No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the\nEradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1)\nfirst of the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n<p>In the development of this case, the KPK named two new suspects from\nthe private sector, namely Ismail Adham and Asrul Azis Taba as the\nGeneral Chairman of the Kesatuan Tour Travel Haji Umrah Republik\nIndonesia (Kesthuri). Both are suspected of playing a role in arranging\nthe distribution and filling of the additional Hajj quota, including\nproviding kickbacks to Ministry of Religious Affairs parties.<\/p>",
