The Yogyakarta City Police (Polresta Jogja) conducted a\nreconstruction of the murder of a student with the initials AA (18) near\nSMAN 3 Jogja. A total of 19 scenes were re-enacted, beginning with the\nvictim and the suspects crossing paths and culminating in the fatal\nslashing.<\/p>\n
The reconstruction was held in the central courtyard of the\nYogyakarta Police Headquarters on Tuesday (7\/7\/2026). Two main suspects,\nLTF (18) alias Lupek and YSF (18) alias Ucup, were present for the\nre-enactment, while another suspect, F (17), was replaced by a stand-in\nas he is a minor.<\/p>\n
\u2018Some of those still on the wanted list were also replaced by\nstand-ins,\u2019 explained Police First Inspector Gara Kinarta Immanuel\nPurba, Acting Head of Unit 3 of the Criminal Investigation Unit.<\/p>\n
He detailed that the incident began when the group of six suspects,\nriding three motorbikes, encountered the victim, who was riding pillion\nwith a witness, on Jalan Magelang in Tegalrejo on Sunday (17\/5). \u2018The\nmotive, as we can see from the reconstruction, initially involved\nstaring at each other, which escalated into challenging one another.\nHowever, there was no element of a pre-arranged meeting or inter-gang\nbrawl in this case,\u2019 Gara stated.<\/p>\n
Upon reaching the Pingit intersection, the victim\u2019s motorbike was\novertaken by a bike ridden by fugitive suspect Farel, with Ucup riding\npillion. Ucup then engaged the victim in conversation. \u2018Which school?\u2019\nUcup asked. \u2018None of your business!\u2019 the victim snapped back. \u2018So, which\nschool do you go to?\u2019 Ucup retorted. \u2018I don\u2019t go to school!\u2019 the victim\nreplied. The exchange stopped when the traffic light turned green, and\nboth parties headed south.<\/p>\n
At the roundabout near the DIY Traffic Police Headquarters, the two\ngroups separated, with the victim heading east. However, a crucial\nmoment occurred when the victim looked back, waved his hand at the\nsuspects, and shouted, \u2018Come here!\u2019. Seeing this, the suspects\nimmediately turned around and gave chase.<\/p>\n
The pursuit ended in front of SMAN 3 Jogja. Suspect Lupek dismounted\nimmediately after the victim stopped his motorbike. Lupek, who had been\ncarrying a sickle from the start, swung it and struck the victim once on\nthe upper right chest. \u2018In the reconstruction, it is clear that the\nvictim received a single slash precisely on the upper right chest.
