        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named\nMuara Enim Regent Edison a suspect in a bribery case related to\nprocurement projects at the Muara Enim Regency Education and Culture\nOffice. In addition to Edison, the KPK has also named three other\nsuspects: Abi Nurwardani, Secretary of the Education and Culture Office\nfor 2026; the regent\u2019s nephew, Adi Triyadi; and Cory Erin Hardi,\nMarketing at PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo\nexplained that the suspects used other people\u2019s bank accounts to harbour\nthe corrupt funds, employing a method of repeatedly opening and closing\naccounts. Budi stated that these holding accounts had been prepared by\nEdison and his associates. \u2018These parties prepared holding accounts to\naccommodate suspected receipts from private parties in connection with\nprocurement within the Muara Enim Regency Government, one of which is at\nthe Education and Culture Office,\u2019 Budi said during a press conference\nat the KPK\u2019s Red and White Building on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. He\nconfirmed that more than one account was used to collect the proceeds of\ncorruption, with accounts being created repeatedly. \u2018Indeed, these\nindividuals used several nominee accounts, then employed a method of\nopening and closing accounts. Meaning, they open an account for holding,\nonce that account is emptied and the funds distributed, they open a new\naccount again, and so on,\u2019 he stated. Budi revealed that one of the\ndiscovered nominee accounts was registered in the name of an office boy.\nOthers were under the names of other employees within the Muara Enim\nRegency Government. Furthermore, Budi said the KPK had seized evidence\nworth IDR 2 billion from the sting operation that captured Regent\nEdison.
