Government and multilateral agencies have pledged around US$6.9
\nbillion in aid for nations hit by the Dec. 26 earthquake and
\ntsunami in the Indian Ocean, while global private donations
\namount to at least $4.5 billion.<\/p>\n
Countries are listed according to the size of their
\ngovernmental pledges in cash and services, some of which are
\nspread over several years. Some of these figures have not been
\nupdated since January.<\/p>\n
