        "content": "<p>Several returning travellers in East Kalimantan province have\nexpressed their gratitude for the availability of 24-hour mosque\nservices along the Eid al-Fitr homecoming routes this year.\n\u201cAlhamdulillah, this year\u2019s mudik feels pleasant because we can stop at\nmosques along the main roads that are open 24 hours,\u201d said Heri Mirza, a\ntraveller who stopped at one of the mosques in Marangkayu, Kutai\nKartanegara, on Wednesday. According to Heri, the programme is excellent\nas it provides comfort for travellers who sometimes feel confused and\nhesitant when they just need to use the toilet. He also praised the\nfriendliness of the mosque administrators who assisted his family when\nthey needed to rest briefly during their journey from Bontang to\nBalikpapan due to a family member suffering from motion sickness.\n\u201cThat\u2019s why this 24-hour friendly mosque service is very helpful; we can\nlie down for a bit to relieve drowsiness,\u201d said Fadli. The man, who was\ntravelling with a group of five people in a private car, admitted he\nneeded to stretch after three hours of driving. Fadli hopes that the\n24-hour mosque service programme will always be available in the coming\nyears, considering that the remaining journey to Paser would take more\nthan seven hours. \u201cThe instruction to provide free accommodation for\ntravellers during the mudik and return season has been distributed to\nall mosque administrators along the inter-city main routes,\u201d stated the\nHead of the East Kalimantan Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional\nOffice, Abdul Khaliq. He emphasised that essential services that mosque\nadministrators must provide for travellers include free access to\nbathrooms and toilet facilities. \u201cIn addition to providing sanitation\nfacilities, these mosques have also been instructed to open their\ncourtyards widely as safe parking areas for vehicles of returning\ntravellers,\u201d Khaliq said.<\/p>",
