The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Teguh Dwi
Nugroho, has stated that Indonesian Hajj pilgrims returning to their
homeland should strive to become better individuals and spread goodness
to their families, neighbours, and communities.

‘Pilgrims who have returned to their homeland and have achieved a
mabrur (accepted) Hajj should maintain that spiritual integrity as best
as they can,’ Tegud told the Hajj Media Centre in Madinah on Friday. He
added that this should make them useful to their families, the
environment, and society, and ultimately to the nation, by sharing the
piety gained in the Holy Land with those around them.

Tegu stated that by practising these values and becoming better
individuals upon their return, pilgrims can contribute to a national
resurgence, fostering higher levels of nationalism and patriotism. ‘This
can subsequently impact how civilisation and civility become part of the
Indonesian national identity,’ said the man who previously served as the
Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury at
the Ministry of Finance for West Java Province.

Furthermore, Teguh reminded the Indonesian public not to fall victim
to non-procedural Hajj scams offered by irresponsible individuals. He
urged prospective Indonesian pilgrims to follow official procedures by
registering through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Indonesia,
regardless of their location. For those wishing to register for special
Hajj services, Teguh reminded them to use Special Hajj Organisers (PIHK)
that are officially registered within the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s
‘Satu Haji’ application.
",
