        "content": "<p>Retired colonel might be jailed<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG: A prosecutor asked the Tangerang District Court on<br>\nMonday to sentence a retired Army colonel to one year in prison<br>\non Monday for falsifying land and house ownership documents.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Puji Raharjo said Col. (ret.) H. Margono<br>\nRejowikromo, 50, a resident of Kampung Melayu Barat, Bukit Duri<br>\nsubdistrict of Tebet, South Jakarta, falsified the signature of<br>\nhis second wife, Sofia Alamsyah, also 50, a resident of Asri Lama<br>\nhousing complex in Cipandu village, in the Cileduk district of<br>\nTangerang.<\/p>\n<p>\"The defendant's efforts resulted in the National Land Agency<br>\nissuing a certificate on Feb. 20, 2001 stating that Sofia's<br>\nownership was transferred to the defendant,\" Puji said.<\/p>\n<p>\"The defendant later sold the plot and the building to another<br>\nparty, causing Sofia to lose Rp 300 million (US$29,412).\"<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor also asked the court to order the land agency<br>\nto cancel the certificate.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judge Joseph Ziraluo adjourned the hearing until<br>\nnext Monday. -- JP<\/p>",
