Results of test on bay water expected<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The Jakarta Police are expecting the results of a
\ncomparative test on water and coral samples taken from the
\nThousand Islands waters and around a rig of the China National
\nOffshore Oil Corp. by the end of May.<\/p>\n
\"The National Police Headquarters forensic laboratory is
\ncurrently doing tests using 'fingerprint technic' to identify
\nchemical substances in the samples,\" city police spokesman Sr.
\nComr. Prasetyo said over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Police took samples of the polluted seawater, coral an oil
\nspill and oil extracted by CNOOC from January through April.<\/p>\n
\"We have questioned 17 witnesses and will question eight
\nothers,\" he said. \"We hope we can identify the suspects by the
\nend of June.\"<\/p>\n
Thousands of fish had washed up dead around the bay in past

BEKASI: Four men were arrested on Saturday morning for the
\npossession of nine packets of marijuana in an East Bekasi
\nshopping center.<\/p>\n
Police identified the men as Adit, 27; Erik M., 23; Teddy, 20;
\nand Deni, 18.<\/p>\n
Bekasi Police chief of detectives Comr. Rasino said on Sunday
\nthat the arrests were made possible due to a tip-off from locals.<\/p>\n
Plainclothes detectives approached the suspects as potential
\nbuyers in the shopping center and apprehended them. The four did
\nnot resist arrest.<\/p>\n
Rasino said the suspects had refused to reveal from where the
\nmarijuana came. They will be charged with violating Article 62 of
\nLaw No. 5\/1997 on psychotropic substances, under which they could
\nface a maximum five years in jail or a Rp 100 million (US$11,111)
