Response to Osvaldo<\/p>\n
Please, allow me a little space to respond to Osvaldo's
\nperplexing letter of Nov. 25, which was in fact rowdy.<\/p>\n
I had no intention of responding to you again due to lack of
\ntime. But nevertheless, this must be my last word, no more.<\/p>\n
First, in your letter to The Jakarta Post you attempted to
\npretend that your first letter to the Post (Nov. 18) was only
\ntalking about oil prices. But let me quote its first paragraph:
\n\"The word has suddenly discovered that Nigeria is a tough place.
\nI lived eight and a half years there. It has always been brutal.\"<\/p>\n
Secondly, for you it's prestigious to know about my country as
\nwell as the Hausa language, some of which you unfortunately could
\nnot even quote correctly. For example, the word Baturi should be
\nwritten thus Bature ending with \"E\" not \"I\" .<\/p>\n
Before dropping my pen, I must tell you that I really have no
\nsingle objection to you in case you stay or you plan to stay
\neight and a half years in each country on this earth. However, I
\ndo hope you'll keep to himself any negative comments about each
\nof the countries after you leave.<\/p>\n
