        "content": "<p>Residents take law into own hands<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG (JP): Hundreds of people burned and destroyed dozens<br>\nof dimly lit food stalls in several villages here Wednesday<br>\nevening, claiming the stalls had been used as brothels.<\/p>\n<p>The destruction erupted after the stalls' owners ignored<br>\nresidents' complaints.<\/p>\n<p>The residents strongly opposed the existence of the stalls<br>\nbecause, as well as accusing them of selling sex, they said they<br>\nsold alcohol freely to patrons.<\/p>\n<p>The destruction took place in the villages of Jatake, Legok<br>\nand Babakan in Legok district.<\/p>\n<p>No fatalities were reported because both the stalls' owners<br>\nand the women who allegedly worked in them had been warned<br>\nbeforehand that there would be trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Deployed officers from the Tangerang Police precinct managed<br>\nto prevent the commotion from spreading to nearby areas by<br>\nmidnight.<\/p>\n<p>\"No one was arrested in the episode,\" Lt.
