A fire broke out at a resident\u2019s house on Jalan Haji Kelik, RT 04\/RW\n08, Kelapa Dua, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The fire is believed to have originated from a shed used to store\nunused items, and then spread to other parts of the house.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to the homeowner, what caught fire was a saung (small hut)\nstoring unused items,\u201d said Syaiful Kahfi, Head of Operations Section at\nthe West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-department, when confirmed in\nJakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
He said his office received information about the fire from local\nresidents at around 5.15 p.m. Western Indonesia Time.<\/p>\n
\u201cInitially, at around 5.10 p.m. Western Indonesia Time, the homeowner\nheard his child shouting that a fire had broken out on the second floor\nof the house. At that point, the fire had already begun to grow,\u201d said\nSyaiful.<\/p>\n
After battling the blaze for approximately half an hour, the fire was\nsuccessfully brought under control.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe operation was completed at 5.53 p.m. Western Indonesia Time,\u201d\nsaid Syaiful.<\/p>\n
As a result of the fire, one family of seven people has lost their\nhome.<\/p>\n
