Republika has launched ‘Aiman & Aisha’, an artificial
intelligence platform anchored on religious values and based on the
Qur’an, unveiled at the National Library Auditorium in Jakarta on
Wednesday. Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Economy Nezar
Patria praised the initiative, describing it as a progressive adaptation
by Indonesia’s media industry to the digital transformation wave. ‘The
presence of Aiman & Aisha must be understood as an effort to
safeguard our digital sovereignty, where artificial intelligence is
built on references strong enough to educate the life of the nation,’
Patria said at the platform’s launch. Beyond mere innovation, he added,
Aiman & Aisha represents a tangible AI that can be designed
specifically to support a curated ecosystem of Islamic content. He
reminded that while AI offers extraordinary efficiency, the human role
in curation and maintaining empathy remains indispensable. He hopes
Aiman & Aisha can become a conduit for digital learning that fuses
cutting-edge technology with Islamic wisdom. Rangga Danu, Director of
Republika, explained that the launch is rooted in the real need of the
community for fast, trustworthy, and Sharia-compliant religious answers.
‘Aiman & Aisha is a learning partner for Islam based on AI that
refers only to the Qur’an and is designed to provide fast, structured
answers and aligned with Sharia principles to a range of everyday
Islamic questions. We are presenting a new standard, an AI with moral
architecture that prioritises caution, clear references, and ethical
responsibility,’ Rangga said. In welcoming Ramadan, he continued,
Republika is offering free access to the public to use Aiman & Aisha
during Ramadan as a worship and homecoming companion for all. The policy
is expected to broaden the platform’s benefits as a digital spiritual
companion, especially during Ramadan, a period when needs for worship
literacy, Sharia consultation, and ethical guidance during mudik
increase. Going forward, the public will be able to ask unlimited
questions of Aiman & Aisha while also supporting Republika’s Dakwah
Sosial movement from as little as Rp8,000. The platform’s peculiarity,
he added, lies in its deliberate boundaries as an epistemic
responsibility. Aiman & Aisha does not aim to answer everything, but
focuses on matters that can be accounted for Qur’ani and Sharia.
",
