Among the\nAsian platforms, China\u2019s WeChat, South Korea\u2019s KakaoTalk, and Turkey\u2019s\nBiP recorded the strongest growth in popularity among Russian users,\naccording to the report citing data from telecommunications operator\nMTS. WeChat\u2019s user base in Russia specifically experienced very rapid\nexpansion at the beginning of this year, with daily activity increasing\nby 67 percent from January to February, according to the report. \u201cThe\ngrowth of Asian messaging apps is driven by minimalistic interfaces, low\ndata consumption, and integrated content-sharing features,\u201d said Ivan\nGoryachev, project manager for education at Servicepipe.
