        "content": "<p>Report unsubstantiated: Editor<\/p>\n<p>The report that people close to the ruling Indonesian<br>\nDemocratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) had injected fresh<br>\nfunds into national daily Republika was unsubstantiated, The<br>\nJakarta Post chief editor Raymond Toruan said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\"The news report is not only unsubstantiated but also<br>\ninaccurate,\" said Toruan, referring to a Post's news article that<br>\nthe PDI Perjuangan, which is chaired by President Megawati<br>\nSoekarnoputri, had bought shares and injected fresh capital into<br>\nthe daily.<\/p>\n<p>According to the editor, the news article, which appeared on<br>\nthe Post's front page on Thursday, was not supported by hard<br>\nfacts and was not in line with the law on publicly listed<br>\ncompanies.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed out that from the view point of news<br>\nstructure, the reference to the Republika daily should not have<br>\nbeen put in the news article.<\/p>\n<p>\"Although it was not intentional on the part of the Post, we<br>\nregret whatever negative consequences this news report has<br>\ncaused,\" said the editor.<\/p>",
