Renovation expo to be held next month<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: A Renovation Expo will be held in Jakarta from April 4
\nto 6 to help Jakartans to deal with property damage caused by the
\nannual flooding during rainy seasons.<\/p>\n
\"We'll organize this expo to focus on the public's need for
\nrenovation of their property. This will be the second after we
\nheld a similar event last year,\" said Jessica V. Schwarze, the
\nbusiness development manager of PT Panorama Convex, which
\norganizes the exhibition.<\/p>\n
Jessica said over the weekend that the expo would not only
\ncover renovation of houses but also other property, including
\napartments.<\/p>\n
She said some 150 companies, which deal with property and
\nproperty renovation, will take part in the exhibition at the
\nJakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta. Some 60,000 people
\nare expected to visit the exhibition.<\/p>\n
Jessica added that last year's event had 89 firms with about
\n50,000 visitors.<\/p>\n
She said that last year many people had to renovate their
\nhouses, which were seriously damaged by the huge floods, the
\nworst in many years.<\/p>\n
\"This year's flood also hit Jakarta and caused damage to many
\nhouses and other properties here,\" she said. \"The renovation expo
\nwill help them to repair the damage or to renovate their

JAKARTA: Police arrested 10 sex workers and nine men illegal
\nmigrants during a police raid on Sunday in West Jakarta and North
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
According to police reports, a total of 19 people were
\napprehended from the Angke railway station in West Jakarta and
\nthe red-light district Kalijodo, in North Jakarta as part of vice
\nraids launched by the police under the code name Sadar Jaya III
\nwhich targets gambling, drug trafficking, illegal alcohol sales
\nand illegal migrants.<\/p>\n
Earlier on Thursday, in similar raids on several areas in
\nNorth Jakarta, police arrested 22 hoodlums and street beggars,
\nalong with five other people involved in gambling and illegal

JAKARTA: Police arrested on Saturday two high school students
\nwho were caught red-handed stealing a cell phone.<\/p>\n
When asked the motive of the robbery, one of the students
\nsurprisingly replied \"Just for fun....\" as quoted by Detik news
\nportal.<\/p>\n
Romy Junior, 16 and Roxy Fernando, 16, were captured after
\nthey stole a cell phone belonging to Irma of South Jakarta, which
\nhad been left unattended at her boarding house.<\/p>\n
However, the owner of the boarding house is a policeman. He
\nspotted Romy and Roxy in the act and took them to the city police
