        "content": "<p>Fish traders and other street vendors selling outside the market area\nin Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, will receive a six-month exemption from\nretribution fees after being relocated to designated trading locations\n(lokbin).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraders relocated to the lokbin will be temporarily exempted from\nfees for up to six months,\u201d said Kramat Jati Sub-district Head Kamal\nAlatas at the Kramat Jati Sub-district Office, East Jakarta, on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>After the exemption period ends, traders will again be subject to\nretribution fees in accordance with applicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Kamal expressed hope that the six-month retribution exemption policy\nwould give traders time to adapt to their new locations while\nreorganising their business activities after the relocation.<\/p>\n<p>Kamal said that 193 fish traders, based on data held by the\nsub-district, have declared their readiness to occupy the Kramat Jati\nLokbin.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kamal, the relocation of the fish traders was carried\nout after the sub-district communicated with traders through eight\ncoordinators representing various trader groups, including vegetable,\nfruit, cake, fish and other commodity sellers.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was part of the government\u2019s efforts to ensure the\narrangement process proceeds gradually and does not create problems on\nthe ground.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Head of Market Operations Division Region II of Perumda\nPasar Jaya Yohanes Daramonsidi said the arrangement does not only target\nfish traders.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 282 traders consisting of vegetable, fruit, cake and\ncoffee sellers will be moved to Pasar Kramat Jati, which is managed by\nPerumda Pasar Jaya.<\/p>\n<p>Of that number, 23 traders will occupy lapak stalls, 136 traders will\noccupy kiosks and 123 traders will occupy los stalls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo for the first six months, rental fees are waived. We are\nessentially ready; the locations will be divided and arranged later,\u201d\nsaid Yohanes.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting with trader coordinators, Perumda Pasar Jaya also\nconveyed the availability of kiosks and los stalls that traders can use\nin the Pasar Kramat Jati area.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the East Jakarta City Government affirmed that street\nvendors are no longer permitted to trade on road shoulders and pavements\nalong Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati, starting from 31 August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStarting from 31 August 2026, trading activities on road shoulders\nor pavements along Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati, will no longer be\npermitted,\u201d said East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin when confirmed in Jakarta\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The decision is a follow-up to the instruction of the Governor of DKI\nJakarta to immediately organise the Jalan Raya Bogor area in Kramat\nJati, including relocating street vendors who cause congestion and\ncreate unsanitary conditions around the Kramat Jati area.<\/p>\n<p>There are approximately 621 spaces prepared to accommodate traders\naccording to available data. Trader placement will be carried out\nthrough a mapping process based on the type of goods and suitability of\nthe location.<\/p>",
