        "content": "<p>Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) \u2013 The Serdang Hamlet Fire Response Centre in\nJelutung 2 Village, South Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands\nProvince, has begun receiving donations for the \u201cSerdang Fire Victims\u201d\nappeal to ease the burden on residents whose homes were destroyed in a\nblaze that engulfed hundreds of houses in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank God, aid for the fire victims in Serdang Hamlet has started\narriving,\u201d Agus Afandi, acting head of the Bangka Belitung Islands\nProvincial Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), said in Serdang Hamlet on\nSunday.<\/p>\n<p>He said donations for the fire victims in Serdang Hamlet, Jelutung 2\nVillage, Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency, had so far\namounted to 242 sacks, 231 cartons of bottled water, 90 trays of eggs,\n79 bundles of clothing, 150 boxes of masks and 10 boxes of gloves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis aid is a great help to residents who have lost their belongings\nin the major fire on Saturday (10 October 2026),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fire victims urgently need everyone\u2019s help. So let us come\ntogether to help our brothers and sisters who have suffered this\ndisaster,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to BPBD data as of 9.40 am local time on Sunday (11\nOctober), 600 homes in Serdang Hamlet had been affected by the fire,\nalong with 600 families, or 2,400 people.
