        "content": "<p>Beijing \u2014 The Chinese Foreign Ministry declined to elaborate on any\nfurther forms of support that the country has provided to Iran following\nthe attacks by the United States and Israel. China supports Iran\u2019s\nsovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChina opposes the US and Israel\u2019s military strikes against Iran,\nwhich violate international law. We support Iran in safeguarding its\nsovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and national dignity, and\nin upholding its legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the\nlaw,\u201d Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press\nconference in Beijing on Friday, 6 March.<\/p>\n<p>Mao Ning answered reporters\u2019 questions about remarks by Iranian\nForeign Minister Abbas Araghchi that Russia and China continue to\nsupport Iran politically amid the US and Israel military operations in\nthe Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>However Mao Ning did not specify what forms of support beyond\npolitical backing are being provided to Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChina always advocates resolving problems through political and\ndiplomatic means. We urge an immediate cessation of military actions to\nprevent the conflict from spreading and escalating and to avoid further\nescalation,\u201d added Mao Ning.<\/p>",
