        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - In welcoming Lebaran mudik 2026, the Ministry\nof Transport through the Directorate General of Sea Transport officially\nopened registration for the Free Sea Tickets programme. Registration\nopens from tomorrow, Friday (6 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u2018As many as 69,232 free tickets have been prepared for the public who\nintend to go home by sea, spread across 97 routes serving various\narchipelagic regions of Indonesia, from Aceh, Java, Kalimantan,\nSulawesi, Maluku to Papua,\u2019 said the Director General of Sea Transport,\nMuhammad Masyhud, in an official statement on Thursday (5 March\n2026).<\/p>\n<p>He said the free ticket programme is a tangible demonstration of the\ngovernment\u2019s presence for people who want to celebrate Eid with their\nfamilies.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018They want to ensure that no residents are hindered from going home\ndue to the cost of sea transport,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p>PT Belibis Papua Mandiri becomes operator with 22 sailing routes.\nMeanwhile, PT Pelayaran Dharma Indah serves the largest number of\nroutes, i.e., 54 routes.<\/p>\n<p>PT Pelayaran Sakti Inti Makmur operates 18 routes, followed by PT\nDharma Lautan Utama which serves four sailing routes. Meanwhile, PT\nJembatan Nusantara operates two sailing routes in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>For details of destinations and registration mechanisms, contact each\noperator or view information on Instagram <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"djplkemenhub151\">@djplkemenhub151<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Registration can be made from 6 March 2026 until the quota is\nexhausted or until the departure date set by each operator.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I urge the public to register as soon as the registration channel\nopens. The registration process is straightforward; simply prepare your\nidentity and follow the instructions at each operator,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p>The programme also provides a range of strategic routes that form the\nmain mudik corridors for the public in several parts of Indonesia. These\nroutes cover the eastern to western regions of Indonesia with\nsubstantial passenger capacity.<\/p>\n<p>In the Papua and West Papua region, there is the Sorong\u2013Waisai route\nwith a capacity of up to 1,600 passengers, and the Jayapura\u2013Biak route\nwhich can carry around 700 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>In Maluku, the shipping service covers routes to and from Ambon to\nvarious islands, such as Namlea, Ambalau, Leksula, Bula, Geser, and\nGorom. In addition, there are Kendari\u2013Raha and Kendari\u2013Baubau routes in\nSoutheast Sulawesi.<\/p>\n<p>Then Kalianget\u2013Kangean with a capacity of 2,000 passengers, and\nJangkar\u2013Raas which can carry up to 2,250 passengers. In addition, there\nare Lembar\u2013Surabaya and Balikpapan\u2013Parepare routes which are important\ninterregional links.<\/p>",
