        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Regent of the Thousand Islands Regency,\nMuhammad Fadjar Churniawan, has ensured that every child in the island\nregion receives education services in line with the 13-Year Learning\nPolicy in school environments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation is a basic right of every citizen and the main foundation\nin improving the quality of human resources,\u201d said Fadjar during the\nAdvocacy to the Regional Government in support of the 13-Year Compulsory\nEducation Policy in Jakarta on Friday (8\/5).<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the education services begin from Early Childhood\nEducation (PAUD) level up to Senior High School (SMA).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the 13-Year Compulsory Education policy covers one\nyear of pre-school, which is a progressive step to ensure every child\nreceives education services.<\/p>\n<p>Fadjar also emphasised that the Thousand Islands Regency supports the\nimplementation of the 13-Year Compulsory Education by involving various\nparties to improve access and equity of PAUD services.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it encourages cross-sector synergy, as well as enhancing\nthe role of the community in supporting child development for the\nfuture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe invite all stakeholders to make this momentum a joint step in\nbuilding an inclusive and sustainable Early Childhood Education\necosystem,\u201d said Fadjar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne year of pre-school education before primary school is a crucial\nfoundation,\u201d stated Thohari.<\/p>\n<p>By integrating PAUD into compulsory education, they ensure children\u2019s\nmental and cognitive readiness before entering formal levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccess to PAUD services in the Thousand Islands region has been\nequitable, although improvements in facilities and infrastructure, as\nwell as teacher competencies, are still needed,\u201d revealed Thohari.<\/p>",
