        "content": "<p>Regency election fraud protested<\/p>\n<p>KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Hundreds of people claiming to be the <br>\nsupporters of candidates in the East Sumba regency election <br>\nclashed on Monday morning with police officers.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of people from both sides were injured.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters, whose support was divided among three pairs of <br>\ncandidates, said they suspected irregularities in the June 30 <br>\nelection, including vote buying.<\/p>\n<p>East Sumba Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Budi Prasetyo said the <br>\nsupporters had demanded the election be repeated.<\/p>\n<p>Ballot counting, carried out by the East Sumba General <br>\nElections Commission (KPUD), is underway.
