The State Secretary, Prasetyta Hadi, stated that the new executives\nof the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) can immediately perform their\nduties and functions following the announcement of the leadership\nstructure reshuffle on Tuesday night, 2 June 2026. President Prabowo\nSubianto has decided to appoint Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as the Head of\nBGN, replacing Dadan Hindayana. Meanwhile, the two deputy positions,\npreviously held by Inspector General (Ret.) Sony Sanjaya and Lieutenant\nGeneral TNI (Ret.) Lodewyk Pusung, are now held by Agustina Arumsari and\nMajor General TNI Trenggono.<\/p>\n
Regarding when the inauguration of the three new BGN leaders will\ntake place, Prasetyo Hadi asked the public to wait. \u201cWait, we will\nannounce it later (the inauguration). What is certain is that with the\nappointment of the new officials, they can already carry out their\nfunctions and responsibilities as appropriate,\u201d Prasetyo said during a\npress conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on\nTuesday, 2 June 2026.<\/p>\n
The Presidential Palace claims that the change in BGN leadership was\nconducted to strengthen organisational performance and accelerate the\nimplementation of various priority programmes managed by the BGN.\nPrasetyo noted that President Prabowo\u2019s decision to reshuffle the BGN\nleadership structure was based on the results of monitoring and\nevaluation over the past 1.5 years.<\/p>\n
According to Prasetyo, Prabowo conducts daily monitoring and\nevaluation of the entire performance of the Red and White Cabinet,\nincluding the performance of the Nutrition Agency. During this\nevaluation process, Prabowo received input from various parties,\nincluding ministries and the public, who are the beneficiaries of the\nFree Nutritious Meal (MBG) project.<\/p>\n
Prasetyo stated that there were several notes regarding BGN\u2019s\nperformance that were taken into consideration by the Head of State. One\nof these concerns matters of discipline in implementing Standard\nOperating Procedures (SOP). \u201cThere are also matters concerning\ndiscipline in governance, including discipline in maintaining the\nquality of food that should have been established by the National\nNutrition Agency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Gerindra Party politician added that the change in BGN leadership\nis expected to address the aforementioned issues. Prasetyo reminded that\nthe National Nutrition Agency plays a strategic role in supporting the\ngovernment\u2019s agenda in improving public nutritional quality.<\/p>\n
The Presidential Palace subsequently urged the three new BGN\nleaders\u2014Nanik, Agustina, and Trenggono\u2014to immediately conduct internal\nconsolidation and strengthen cross-ministerial and inter-agency\ncoordination. \u201cAs well as strengthening coordination with local\ngovernments, both at the provincial and regency\/city levels, and\nensuring that all BGN programmes can continue to run as well as\npossible,\u201d said Prasetyo.<\/p>\n
