        "content": "<p>Refugee teachers' salaries assured<\/p>\n<p>MANADO, North Sulawesi: Almost 300 teachers who have fled<br>\nriot-hit areas and now are teaching in North Sulawesi are ensured<br>\nof their rights to their wages, an official confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported Friday that 290 teachers from East Timor,<br>\nAmbon, Ternate, and Lombok are now teaching in North Sulawesi.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the provincial office of the Ministry of National<br>\nEducation, D.P. Togas, said that although not all teachers had<br>\ncomplete requirements for their new assignments, they were<br>\nentitled to their salary.<\/p>\n<p>Togas said while all 45 teachers from East Timor already had<br>\nthe letters of transfer needed to teach in their new place,<br>\nothers only held notices of assignment.<\/p>\n<p>\"Although they only possess notices of assignments, their<br>\nsalaries are paid directly,\" Togas said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that he had requested the ministry pay attention to<br>\nteachers fleeing from areas of unrest.
